Rivo is a technology company, not a bank. Rivo invests idle cash sitting in your client's bank account in short-duration U.S. Treasury Bills through Jiko Bank and Jiko Securities. It can do this in an automated way through Rivo Autopilot, and bring funds back before client's bills hit. Your client can also choose to set thresholds for it to move through Rivo Copilot.
Both keep a minimum bank balance in your client's account and move the rest to Rivo to earn. The difference is whether money comes back on its own. Autopilot moves money both ways. Your client sets minimum bank balance, or use the one we recommend. Autopilot then watches upcoming bills and spending, moving extra cash out to earn and moving it back as client's account needs it. Client can also withdraw manually any time. Copilot only moves money out. Once a day we check client's connected account, and if there is more than $100 above minimum set by the client, we move the excess to Rivo to start earning. With Copilot, moving money back to bank is up to your clients. Either way, client will get an alert before a planned transfer so they can cancel it.
No. Rivo only moves money based on the permissions your clients have granted us. Once automation is on, they won't be asked to approve each individual transfer, but they'll get a notification before every transfer and they have six hours to cancel it. They're always in control - change their settings, pause, or disconnect anytime.
No. Rivo works with their existing bank accounts. It connects through Plaid and works without them switching banks, moving direct deposits, or changing their bill pay setup.
Yes, Rivo invests a client's money in a brokerage-based product. Cash is invested in short-duration U.S. Treasury Bills. While these are backed by the federal government and remain independent of equity market swings, they carry standard fixed-income risks. Fluctuations in interest rates may affect value if assets are liquidated before they mature.
Rivo charges a flat monthly management fee of 5 basis points (0.05%), calculated on the average daily balance of your client's Rivo account. The fee is automatically deducted from their account each month. If the account's cash balance is insufficient, the system will automatically liquidate a sufficient amount of Treasury bills to cover the fee.
